It seems to me the best answer I could come up with is our society is too full of competition. You have mothers out there downgrading other mothers because they beleive you are only a good mother if you breastfeed; you have kids in school separating themselves from each other because they dress different; you have high schools who hate every person who goes to another high school because their football teams are rivals; you have religions who think their way is the ONLY way; You have fat people who hate models because they themselves can't seem to lose weight, so they downgrade people who go on diets. There's the competition to be skinnier, to be smarter in schools, the competition in these reality shows on T.V. Competition is everywhere. Everyone seems to think that their way is the best way. If you step back and look at the big picture, it all seems so childish. The human race needs to evolve,
and understand that not everyone is going to make the same choice as they are, but does that make any choice wrong? If it brings out the best in someone, or even just brings them simple enjoyment, that was the right choice for them. Of course people could take that the wrong way and say,"well, cheating on my wife brings me enjoyment, so it was the right choice", or " Robbing that guy out of all his money brings me enjoyment, so it was the right choice" But that's where the human race needs to evolve as well, into understanding that their need for happiness should not take away any others need for happiness. Now Im not Wiccan, but I love their quote" Do as you will, as long as it harms no one" That sums it up pretty well. Can you imagine how the world would be if everyone lived by that?

We are human. Even family members backstab. The human race is not perfect.

I tend to stay away from people like that.
