My OB gave me a letter to give to my dentist to let them know what is safe for me to take during pregnancy. I would call your OB and ask them first. Then, call your dentist and see if you can get in ASAP. Let them know you are pregnant. They should get you in right away. You can't let dental problems go if you are pregnant, especially if you have an infection. Get it taken care of by professionals - don't try to self medicate. Also, there are pain medications stronger than Tylenol that you can take, but you must get a prescription.

You don't need antibiotics for a toothache...go see the dentist (and check with your DR to see what's safe)
To help with the pain until you can get an appt...you're allowed to take Tylenol products while pregnant.
Good luck!

Yes, there are lots of anti-biotics that are safe, but you have to get a prescription. Tylenol, Advil, and Aleve are safe up to 30 weeks. After that, only Tylenol.

You can take Tylenol, but make sure it is regular Tylenol. The bottle says regular strenth Tylenol. Also it depends what kind of pregnancy..regular, high risk, first, etc, etc. When in doubt ask your doctor, and your dentist.I had some minor dental work done when I was 2 months pregnant, and they used special medicine,my son was born perfect. Also you can use ice.
