This may sound strange to you, but it's what restorers do if the scratches aren't too deep.
Take a wet cloth and a hot iron.
Place the cloth over the affected area and iron it.
The steam produced expands the wood - which means the scratch disappears.
If the scratch is deep, then your only solution is to fill it, a colour matching furniture wax crayon will work.

If you get a crayon the same colour or near to the colour you can just draw over the scratch and the wax from the crayon with cover it worth a try. Good luck

You can buy a special furniture polish (French Polish) that can fix this. A bit like T-Cut on a scratched car.

Get a Brazil nut hit it with a hammer take out the nut and rub into the scratches, let it dry, this works i use it on my coffee table all the time.

most home improvement centers sell small touch-up things that kind of look like a magic marker. They come in different stain colors. I've used them before and they work just fine. You can find them near the wood finishes section.

I have seen scratches being removed/filled using cigarette ash with great results. Otherwise you can buy scratch cover solutions in various colours.

You could use a sander and completely strip the shelves and refinish them or you could use some cherry stain and wipe them down with a rag. This will make the scratches blend in and works quite well with minimal effort.

you can also try to match the furniture with a crayon. it rubs nicely into the scratch, also show polich works well.
