I highly recommend "I Will Never Leave You" by Hugh and Gayle Prather. The book is written by a husband and wife team who made their marriage work through some majorly troubled times. They wrote the book after they started counseling couples inside the church they started. The book is very much geared towards ways to work things out. It is very spiritually oriented but not necessarily Bible bashing, more in the belief that there is a God/Higher Power who has many different names. It helped me through some troubling times of my own and is a major reason I'm still happily married 15+ years later.

There are two books that I recommend. I myself found them really helpful. I hope you do too. Oh and you can buy them online on amazon.com, that's where I got them. One of them is a book by Dr. Phil and there is also a workbook and you can get them both on amazon pretty cheap. I don't follow Dr. Phil but this book of his is really good.
The Relationship Cure: A 5 Step Guide to Strengthening Your Marriage, Family, and Friendships by John Gottman (Paperback - Jun 25, 2002)
Relationship Rescue by Phillip C. McGraw (Paperback - Sep 2001)
The Relationship Rescue Workbook (Paperback)

Dr. Laura's books, The Proper Care & Feeding of Marriage, and The Proper Care & Feeding of Husbands. Very real, to the point, huge wake up call.
The Bible, which should be a guide through life

"The Lone Ranger and Tonto Fist-combat in Heaven" via Sherman Alexie (short thoughts, yet with someone-friendly thread. The movie made up of the e book is "Smoke indicators.") "in no way enable Me flow" via Kazuo Ishiguro (he's a superb author to be attentive to once you're an English considerable, and that is his maximum contemporary e book. that could be a sprint sci-fi, with a real center on social relationships and social shape.) "if on a wintry climate's evening a vacationer" via Italo Calvino (once you're a reader, you're able to see what Calvino's Reader is as much as. the 1st few pages are innovations-boggling.) "The Eyre Affair" and something of the Thursday next books via Jasper Fforde (innovations candy for lit geeks. in case you like sci-fi, that is relaxing; in case you will basically want to work out a worldwide wherein books rule fairly of television and action pictures, that is large. that is tremendously good in case you ever wanted to have a puppy dodo.)

The best book is "Making Marriage Work for Dummies".
I am serious, this book is great, it really helped our marriage and we often go back and re-read a chapter if we argue. Get this book today.
