Hi, an obstetrician delivers babies. Another option is a midwife, who usually works under another doctor. The midwife handles uncomplicated pregnancies and has the other doctor as a backup in case a problem arises.

obgyn, midwives, dulas. heck really anyone can there's no stopping a baby from coming into this world. My mom delivered 3 babies and her occupation is an iron worker. she just read some books to get the general idea on how to do it. ( cause my aunt and uncle had all their babies at home)

Obstetrician (OB-GYN) but in my case.. the dr was late and everything was done by the nurse.. but the dr came in and put his hand under the baby's butt which clasified him as being delivered by the dr. Also a mid wife can do delivering as well.

your obgyn will deliver your baby. That stands for obstentrics and gynecology doctor(forgive me if I misspelled something.) The doctor you usually go to to have pap smears and get birth control pills, etc. is usually the one you go see when you get pregnant, and he/ she will also deliver the baby when you go into labor.

an obstetrician or a nurse midwife... Nurse midwives are only available for uncomplicated births (vaginal). They cannot perform cesarean sections.
