whats the rule on capri pants and high heels, can i wear tights of some kind?

Peep toes are everywhere and they wear them with patterned tights in the mags, how about crop pants, i've only seen them paired with boots. It's winter, so no sandals, bots are ok, but want another option that is still acceptable at the office

For me, you can't try everything you see on models in magazine. Sometimes it's ok for photo shoot but not for everyday life.
Never wear any kind of tights with capri, it's just wrong. For winter, boots are the best choice. Or don't wear capri in winter.
