You put them on pedestals, support and give them everything that you can afford to give, whether it be material, physical or emotional, yet they always don't respect you and insensitive to your feelings but then say they love you so much at the same time! I feel used, abused and confused, am I?

You gave so much to the point where you had nothing when it ended. It doesn't make sense, but when you give so much to someone you put them in a position of power. You don't reward kids if they are bad. You punish them. You were probably made to feel you didn't do enough, so you kept giving when you shouldn't have. You were punished when it should have been the other person.
Caring is a privilege, not a right. Take that privilege away if he is not appreciating it. You need to empower yourself.

If you are talking about a guy this may not apply he may just be a jerk, but if you are talking about family or really close friends then I would say that when you are in a bad mood it is sometimes easier to lash out at the ones you love because you know that they will always be there for you, it is still not right but it is true at times.

People judge their self by their intentions but other people judge them by their actions. Even though people may have good intentions, doesnt always mean that their actions show it.
No one is perfect, and sometimes if you feel like your being taken advantage of you may have to take yourself out of that situation. Sometimes you have to say NO and walk away. Remeber you cant change them, but you can change how you respond to the person or about the problem going on. good luck.

Words are only that. Make sure when your dating or whatever that you look at that persons heart and not rely on just words. If your dating and you find them not treating you good by respecting you and your feelings...i would start looking elsewhere right away because you deserve better!

First you need to remind yourself why do you go all out for these people. If it's to please them, then STOP!!! You will NEVER be able to please people by catering to them. It's against human nature. You family may love you, but humans (in general) do not respect doormats (someone who never says 'no', even when they should). Now, if you do the things you do because it makes YOU feel good, then do what you do because it makes YOU happy. Then, maybe you should do things for those who APPRECIATES IT.

I just read an article today on the Psychology Today website and it had rules for relationships. The one I know I am most guilty of breaking is to ask for what you want. I am terrible about communicating my wants and needs to my partner, like he should just know what I want. Try talking to you partner and telling them what you need or want. I am going to be trying this advice myself. Good Luck!

Of course men get tired of the bashing that's one if the reasons why men cheat and yet still hold on to their women. Men love beautiful women and that shows vanity. Sex is also a big reason, as long as their getting it, they almost font care how women behave towards them.
