so we can have playdates... I want one of the main focuses to be on different ethnic back grounds... I live in a area that is mostly white and believe that by having my kids play with different ethnic backgrounds it will help them be more understanding and better humans...true for all kids... would anyone consider this wrong or hurtful? I just want to be careful.. I would also like to include Lesbian parents also... ( i know that black and lesbian are very different things)

It is good that you want your children to experience different ethnic backgrounds and cultures. Have you tried posting this question in the parenting section? I think you would get a lot more responses. I don't know where you live of course but I'd suggest contacting a museum or cultural heritage center and see if there are classes or social functions in which you and your child could interact with other cultures.
