When you hook it up to a computer by the sync cable, not only will you be able to download songs to it, it will also begin taking a charge directly off of the computer. To plug it in, look for a standard USB port (it should be a rectangular pit with a thin wafer of plastic that's a bit off-center, and an odd-little symbol that has a big circle at one end connected by a fork-shaped line to a little circle, a triangle, and a square), either on the back or face (for a desktop computer) or the back or sides (for a laptop computer), and plug the other end of the sync cable into the bottom of your iPod (the side with the symbol on it should be visible from the side of the iPod with the screen/click-wheel). Don't force any cables in if they don't go in easily. In that case, chances are you've got it lined up upside-down and need to flip it so it'll fit properly.

Once you've got it hooked up, download whatever you want, but let it sit and charge until the screen of the iPod displays a symbol that looks like a battery with a black standard wall plug on it. At that point, it's fully charged. If it's an iPod Shuffle, there's no screen, so I'm not sure how to tell when it's reached a full charge, but it'd probably be best to let it sit a full 24 hours the first time around (make sure you leave the computer on the whole time, though you can turn off the monitor if you like) and 8 hours per charge thereafter.

Do you have the white conecting cord? Well i have the ipod nano but all ipods have the cord tht connects to the ipod and then to your laptop or computer. Im pretty sure if you just connect one another with you computer on the ipod screen whcih is called itunes will automatically pop up and you will create an account. You will be able to download songs. If you have saved songs go to file and import fromlibary. I hope this helps!

whilst the circle ingredient is on the backside, seem on the right-left above the exhibit screen some million/2 inch in the right of the iPod touch. carry it down for like 3 seconds and that's the way you change it off. i'm hoping this helps.
