Generally. Unless all the kids just don't care and didn't put an ounce of thought into the test. But in general, if the whole class fails, it's the fault of a crappy teacher. If he can't even get one kid who passes, or even the class genius who always gets and A...then there's a problem with his teaching.

If they only fail the final test, then it would look bad on the teacher, however, all the kids could still fail. If the majority of the class passes all the quizzes and tests up to that point, then the teacher was doing his job, but if they all fail the final, then that says there was something wrong with what the students have done. Maybe they tried to cheat and got a copy of the wrong test, or they all decided to fail to make the teacher look bad. Either way, there would be an investigation, and the teacher would have the past tests and quizzes to back him/her up.

Really, it depends. Why? Did it happen to a class your in? Anyways, the teacher might not be teaching the curriculum properly. On the other hand, maybe no one chose to study for the finals or there was some surprise questions. Of course, it could be that the class doesn't choose to listen to the teacher. There are many reasons, but if you think a teacher isn't teaching properly, talk to someone you trust. They can help you better that I can.

Definitely. Sounds like you have a moron for a teacher. Either can't teach or can't write a test based on what was covered in the class. Get some other students from the class and maybe some parents together and file a complaint .

It conveys more or less the subject matter on the test was not covered thoroughly by the teacher or understood by the students. Clearly, there is a problem. Take it to the teacher or principal. Good luck.

Sometimes but it also says a lot about the students too. You can't just blame the teacher...if the students don't want to learn then no teacher can teach them....

yes. It says she/he didn't accurately prepare the students. If we are talking about college, some professors don't care if you pass.. they still get paid. Once they hit tenure position, they get paid and keep their job NO MATTER WHAT. i had a econ teacher that made it his duty to fail as many people as possible. About 2 of 100 students passed every sem and he loved failing people. Prof. don't have to know how to teach..

It means a) the students are all genuinely retarded and have an IQ of les than 70. or b) the students jointly planned on intentionaly throwing the exam to seek revenge on a teacher probably for being an all-controlling dick all semester.
