Many scientists believe that man's contribution to "global warming" is unclear at best. In the earth's history there has been 600 warming and cooling period in half a million years. Should we blame that on the SUVs? What about Mars' ice caps receding, that must be man's fault also.
China is now the world's biggest polluter, even if we did what the environmentalists want any thing we do would be negated by China's.
By the way, how does one compare military strategy with climate changes?

A study of history will explain both. Look at the killing fields of Cambodia or go back further and look into the end of the Ice Age. If we don't learn from history we are doomed to repeat it. Science is good in many areas but have you seen an accurate weather reporting system yet? The can't even get the 3 day forecast right but I am supposed to believe that they are correct on global warming. I know that the predicted return to the Ice Age that was predicted just over twenty years ago has yet to happen. Why are Libs so egotistical that they think everything is controlled by them? If you must stereo type answer that one for me.

What an unbelievably uninformed question. Global warming is junk science; there is absolutely no way to correctly prove it. The sectarian violence in Iraq, on the other hand, is already a certainty. Look how the various religious sects are blowing each other up now. Now, try and think how bad it will be when the US leaves, and the Shi'ite Iranians cross over and begin assisting Iraqi Shi'ites in killing Sunnis? Genocide.

It amazes me how people are just too lazy to look at the weather patterns throughout the years..,a farmers almanac is a good place for historic weather patterns. The earth is not coming to an end.Why doesn't Al Gore want to debate the scientists that want to question his theory and since when has Al Gore been a scientist? The man is a fruit cake,he wants to do away with all combustible engines..,including farm equipment, wants to have our food grown in foreign countries. What person in his/her right fricking mind would fall for that crock?

Would you want you food to come from a foreign country? To be completely dependent on foreign countries for your food?I sure in the hell wouldn't.

Did you know that studies were done and the number one cause of green house gasses is cattle flatulence?I guess we should kill all the cows..,lets just take care of it once and for all..,why don't we all just kill ourselves.Man,some people are just down right gullible.

You ask any of our guys that are in Iraq right now..,the guys that are fighting the war and not some arm chair idiot that think they are,ask them what would happen if we pull out. That is real, this war is real.Wake up to reality and not the world of doom and gloom of Al Gores wet dream.

Some of the support for the potential danger of global warming is credible science, some pure hype, and none of it conclusive. No thinking person could believe all of it. Besides, the average increase of two degrees Fahrenheit over the last century could hardly be considered devastating; and how do we know those century-old records were accurate?

Thousands were already dying in the genocide under Saddam's rule. Vietnam showed us what happens when the US cuts and runs. The only historical evidence of Global warming shows us that the planet has always gone through periods of global cooling and warming without help from mankind.

well im a conservative. i do believe we have helped the global warming. but in the end....what is happening...as far as warming would have happened..AGAIN....since this has happened several times in the earths history...we sped it up this time around ....by a few years.
and as far as genocide in iraq if we leave...well... there was already genocide in iraq before we got there...what makes you think it would stop....or for that matter...has it ever stopped in that country since sadam had taken over? or since he was overthrown?. the religious elements in that country will not stop till the other side is alllllll dead.
in all reality...both of them are facts

I'm not into "believing."

I KNOW that there remains no tangible proof of man's material contribution to the most recent of several warming trends and if I were going to "believe" the unproven assertion, the AGW crowd's attempts to revise the climate history makes me less inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt.

I also KNOW that the Koran commands genocide and that Muhammad committed it. What I "believe" is that going into the Middle East trying to "democratize" various factions of Muslims and the scant remains of non-Muslim communities is like going into the African savannah trying to "democratize" the hyenas and the lions.

Who said a million? Who cares about the number. It's all about the region being stable. Who thought 9-11 was possible until it happened.

Warming doesn't even have consensus within their own ilk. all they/we know is something is happening. Then they make a great leap saying it's man that's doing it. Who says? Prove it? They can't. No one can.

Science has already demonstrated that the sun is warming - and so are all the planets. This started about 12,000 years ago before there were enough humans to make any difference whatsoever.

We know there are extremely violent factions trying to take over Iraq that intentionally murder civilians not of their own faith. Unchecked, that ideology leads to genocide, just as it did when the Leftists took over Vietnam and Cambodia and murdered anyone not of their faith.

It is a simple matter to look at the motives of ideological fanatics and understand what they will do if nobody interferes.
