I don't think "clean" meant that black people are dirty - I don't think it had anything to do with race. "Clean" I think meant without baggage or scandal, which like his race is something that makes Obama different from other leading Democrats.
That said, I can't stand either Obama OR Biden or any other of the leading Democrats, because they stand for the principal of raising my taxes to pay other people's bills.

Well if that had been a Republican, they would be leaving office, and we would being hearing endless ranting from the left about how racist the GOP is. The liberal media would beat this one into the ground, but if you notice they are all but mum on the Biden issue. The bar is set very low for Democrats, they seem to do what they want, blame the media I guess, they let them get away with it.

It would be taken out of context and they would be chastised as being a racist and very insensitive. Obama would have also had a different reaction had it came from the mouth of a Republican Senator. There is and has always been a great deal of hypocricy when it comes down to the Democratic party although they will never admit it.

Yea, I wonder what Biden means? "Clean" black man as opposed to...who, Al Sharpton? I guess Al is rather "dirty".
But because it was Biden (a Democrat) who pointed this out, it will be glossed over and forgotten.
They tried to crucify poor Trent Lott, and all he did was try and cheer up an old guy on his 100th birthday. He humored the guy about how he would have made a "good president", just to lift the guy's spirits and right away it became "Trent Lott is racist"
Obamba may be a "clean black man", but he is still a dirty, lousy rotten leftwing socialist.

Well it all depends on who you ask. but I do think that there were racist overtones in the 'clean' comment.
THis is nothing new however, black people have been dealing with the same kinds of comments for YEARS!
'oh you speak so well' etc.
Colin Powel had like styled comments made to him at least once a week when he was at the height of his fame.

If anyone called someone a dirty black man you'd have a point, but clean??? Whats wrong with clean? A dirty politician isn't racist maybe its politicianist? A clean politician may be hard to find, but its not a negative.

Where have you been, Biden's been labeled a racist by every neocon that can make him/herself heard on the topic. And some liberals too. Please try to keep up.
