i stopped paying for a tv license when the internet became a usable form of entertainment.
true, there's some great stuff on the box, but the good stuff is available through the all-seeing-i. give up your tv and stop being programmed!

I feel worse knowing that I have to pay it then pay again with satellite subscription! BBC take a cut from these subscriptions so if you have satellite / cable your paying twice.
And the BBC is poo!

well not sure about a tv license, but in the US i get to watch (on cable) monk and this forensic files, they are my favorite! you could try to watch past episodes on abc.com like lost?
