i was an avid van halen fan when dlr was the singer. replacing roth to become van hagar was tolerable for the first two records, after that, i totally lost interest (i think it was For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge.) i think i only liked dlr's first solo album, then that just like paradise came out which was not too good. i keep hearing that they might get together, but there is too much bad blood between eddie and david to overcome. roth will always want to be the star and i guess eddie doesn't think they need one to steal the spotlight.
