I got mine these "soap cards". You can get your picture put into them and any saying you want. I got a picture one and 2 with sayings: "think of me when you're feeling dirty" & "wish I was this soap". www.soapcard.com

The "Soap-card" thing is a great idea. Whatever you do, DO NOT GIVE HIM A GIFT CARD. They are TERRIBLY impersonal, and they show that you don't really care.
There must be something that he really enjoys, find out what it is, and get him something related to it. If he likes to go golfing, get him a new golf bag, or a new set of clubs. Probably a good idea to get him something expensive, because he will NEVER expect it.

sometimes you don't have to go for big and pricey or extravagant think smaller think from your heart. why not make him gift personal and really enjoyable, try making him something with your hands and cooking a nice meal, and comfort him for the night that would last in his memory more than just buying him a gift

try giving a gift package from a well known day spa in your area. men can get a steam, a massage, pore treatment, tanning or fake tan(spray on) as well hair care/cute and manicure and pedicure, just to get you started. and you win cause now he smells and looks good while he is so relaxed.

if he's interested in sports, get him a subscription to sports illustrated. if he loves food, get him a gift certificate to his fav fast food place, or a bag of his fav candy. you can get him a certificate to his fav clothing store. i like to give cute themed boxers from american eagle to my bf. give him some nice cologne, or practical stuff like a basket with the toothpaste, deo, and soap and stuff he uses.
