I have a wonderful boy friend who is the sweetest thing in the world to me and he treats me right. But sometimes he says things to my friends that they take wrong. I don't think he is meaning to be mean to them i think that it's a accident, but my friends absolutely hate him. I feel awkward around him and my friends because they don't like him. Should they be nice to him for me or is that too much to ask for.

You should tell him how they feel not that they dislike him, but that they feel hurt by the things he says. I don't think they should have to hide their feelings but I also don't think that should treat him like crap either. So just talk to your boyfriend maybe he can apoligize!* G/L <33

First you need to make your boyfriend understand what's going on. Secondly, your friends are usually right about things like that. Think carefully about what they are trying to point out to you. And no, don't expect your friends to be who they're not for him. If you must, spend time seperately.

He sounds like he opens his mouth before he thinks. He probably is just trying a little too hard. If you really like him, tell your friends not to 'give up' on him. If THEY really value your friendship and want you to be happy, they will give him a break. Good luck.

As long as your happy. Your friends shouldnt care. But if he makes a racial joke or anything like that. THEN they should care. If your happy, they should be happy.
