What is the point? I am engaged. I do not get it. This one day makes jewelers richer, the florist rich, the chocolate makers rich too. I do not see the point.

Totally. Especially when pretty much every other day of the year (ok, maybe not Mother's Day) you can buy a dozen roses for a decent price, but all of a sudden on Feb 14 they're like ridiculously expensive.

This is one woman who has expressly told her husband NO VALENTINE GIFTS!!!

I agree. Have you noticed the amount of money they spend on marketing for this holiday? There is hardly a store that you can enter without being hit in the face with some puppy with a heart in its mouth or chocolates flying at your from all directions.

Research the history of V-Day. It is a marketing scam.

Many of us do, but I think more men than women. Valentine's dasy is stupid.

I totally agree with you why not treat your loved one everyday as if it were "valentines day"

Yup! Do V-Day if you want, but do it personally and cheaply.
