I'm looking to buy a new computer when I get my tax refund this year. I'll mostly use it for word processing, financial software and some music. I don't go for the games that require top of the line graphics and sound. I do want something reliable. I prefer to spend less than $500 but would be able to stretch to around $700. Any recommendations?

I know eMachines are pretty cheap, but are they at least decent quality?

Thanks for all the help!

Don't buy an eMachine. go to www.dell.com and get their special of the week. They always have one for around $500.

Make sure that it has at least 1gb of memory and a 256 mb graphics card.
