I saw the first 2 and I was thinking about renting Saw 3 tonight... is it worth the time?

I didn't watch any of them but I heard that Saw 3 was the best. I typically like to stay away from scary movies.

In my opinion saw 3 is a great movie. i rented atleast 4 times. i would love to by it soon, and now i probably will. if you like the first two you should get it. I also think saw 1 had a better storyline, saw 2 was gory, saw 3 had both. Thanks.

Classic case of the law of diminishing returns. The first one was good. Put together well, suspenseful, surprisingly entertaining especially considering the budget. They've gotten exponentially worse since. Two was bad. Three was awful. Murkily lit to the point of being unable to follow the action on screen. Sloppily written. Obviously rushed into theatres.
Don't waste your time unless you're easily entertained.

Loved the traps, but I hated the ending, and they forgot what made the movies good.
They started with a hacksaw and handcuffs around the feet, and the point was "What would you do to stay alive?", now it's turned into machinery and gadgets that very few normal human beings could actually make and now it's "Would you hurt someone else to save yourself?"

no. I went to the movies to see it, and found it really disappointing. It was really gory, which I like, but the plot was all over. It was like they were pulling people from nowhere and connecting them with this single lame storyline. If you can get it for free, then knock yourself out But Saw III was not money-worthy.

The first two were better the third did not seem as thought out.
The plot was lacking a little and they tried to make up for it with more gore.

it's worth seeing but i agree with one of the other answers ...it did turn my stomach ...much more than 1 and 2. there were things in the movie that you couldn't imagine. want me to tell you some?

Yes, dont listen to everyone else, so what if it is gorry,thats what scary movies are for. It is better than 2 and WAAAAYYY better than 1

unless you get free movie passes or something, i suggest you wait until it comes out on dvd. in my opinion, the first two were way better and were less gory and had more of a plot.
