Do you mean help in getting the separation or help after you are separated?

For help getting the separation...I know of no agency that helps marriages dissolve. You may call the county clerk and describe your situation...you can't possibly be the first person in your county to face this...they can help or point you the right people who can.

If you are asking about help after you separate. I suppose Welfare can help. There may be other programs to help recently divorced/separated women get back on their feet.

Good luck.

Nope, if you separate or divorce, that is all on you. It costs a lot to dissolve a marriage. But, since you(both parties) are the reason for it, the government isn't going to help out any.

The only exception is for the victims of domestic violence. Generally, the crisis center in the area would help out those people as much as they can.

Barring anything like that, all expenses and legal fees are on you.

You can apply for public assistance - depending on how many kids you have, how low your income is and if you have a job or not, you can get Section 8 housing assistance, food stamps, medicaid health coverage for you and the kids and cash welfare assistance. Give it a shot - you paid taxes for it when you were working, so why not cash in now that you need the help?
