I don't think it too much, but equally, I am not sure where you might find a place with the equipment to do it.
Sweets and a card would be very appropriate at this early stage.
Also, if you know of something else, say costing less than a tenner, then that would work too. A few ideas that I would like, with or without a card:
Sweets
DVD
Music CD
Book
Small stuffed animal holding a heart.

No, I'd have to agree with some of the others, if he's 12 years old and likes chocolate. It's been my experience that men don't prefer chocolate. Figure out his likes and dislikes first. Be thoughtful about choosing a gift. Personalize it but not in the since of his monogram but by making it EXACTLY what he "loves". Music, favorite place to eat, desserts, xbox gaming, make his gift match his personality. Does he play any sports? Go a little one on one with him at his favorite sport. lol He'd enjoy that & it would be the least expensive. Well, good luck!

I think it is a good idea. You guys haven't been together for a long time yet, why don't you get him a card or something to go along with it though too. I got these M & Ms for my boyfriend for a part of his Christmas gift and he loved them almost as much as his paintball mask (which was a surprise).

I think it depends on how well you know him. If you knew each other for quite a while before getting together, then I'd say get the M&Ms. But if you started dating almost straight after you met, then I say leave the M&Ms till next year and get him a card now - maybe a cute homemade one?

You could make him a scrapbook of all the good times you had together. I'm sure he'd like that. I can't really think of that much else though. Hm.. Shopping for boys is a lot harder than girls. Just think of something from your heart.

That's WAY too much for less than 3 months. And, personalized M&M's cant be guaranteed to arrive by 02/14/07, according to their website.
Instead, do something full of thought. Does he like Lord of the Rings? Get him a book deciphering the series. Does he like cars? Get him a subscription to Road & Track. Does he like movies? Get him a movie guide (Like Roger Ebert or Leonard Maltin). Does he play or like sports? Get him tickets to a local pro or semi-pro sporting event.

Personally, I think that this would be very cool. But I'm a girl, and all of the trouble of doing this is just going to end up in his mouth. If he's sweet (with a sweet tooth!) then do this. If he's the kind of guy that doesn't enjoy the small things in life, I advise you not to. Good Luck!
XOXO,

If you don't mind spending tons of money on it. Personalized M&Ms are REALLY expensive. I think it is a bit pricey considering you've only been dating for 2 1/2 months.

I think it is a cute idea, and not too much for someone you have just been dating for a short time. But I would personally get something not as cheesy.
