Some girls are under the false assumption that douching [washing out your vagina with a special liquid mix] will prevent pregnancy. Sperm swim fast, and taking the time to douche after sex will not prevent the sperm from swimming through the cervix and into the uterus since they do so quickly.

If you are referring to girls that like to wash the outside of their bodies after sex, it may just be a personal preference. It also is a good idea to pee after sex and wipe yourself off to prevent UTIs [urinary tract infections] that can be caused by bacteria from sex entering the urethra.

reddchild is right. There is an odour afterwards.

It is a good idea to use the washroom to pee and wash yourself after sex. Peeing flushes out the urethra after sex. During intercourse, bacteria can work it's way up the urethra and into the bladder which causes a bladder infection. Bladder infections are extremely painful and it can lead to a kidney infection if it is not treated. Bladder infections can be prevented by following simple hygiene rules. Peeing and washing the vagina after sex is one of them. Here is a link for more info

There is a thing with some women not wanting to be sticky and wet and even having the odor afterwards. Thats why some women wash after having intercourse.

The sperm isn't ON her vagina, that's IN it. The sperm are swimming up into her attempting to discover an egg. So no, washing the outdoors or maybe the interior (like douching) won't assure no longer getting pregnant.

I am going to assume that you might mean force liquid up inside themselves to wash it out, like a douche. I have heard of some girls doing it to keep from getting pregnant if the man has ejaculated inside her.
