If it's done again it will be KOBE but he becuase a leader and wants to get the team involved.

comparing the difference in the game at the time wilt scored 100 to when kobe scored 81 ............ i think kobes was much more spitaculor, the game is so differnt now and if wilt played today he probably wouldnt even be able to score 100

yeah wilt chamberlain holds the record for most points in a game (100!) and kobe is second. but you never know if kobe's 81 will get surpassed or even wilt's 100 because there are a lot of talented young kids out there. i believe some kid will try to break their records one day.

perhaps, but the way defenses are played nowadays and the way coaches generally look at it, I dont think anyone will top the 100 Wilt scored, just as it would be extreemly difficult for a player to average a triple double for a season or 50 points and 25 rebounds per game(unless the player is on a losing team maybe?)...times are just different

T-Mac could if he was every 100% healthy, the game called for it, and he was just on fire.

Kobe definitely has a chance but same with him the game needs to call for it or he has to be unbelieveably on fire.

Lebron could if he could shoot better or had someone doing a better job of setting him up under the basket.

Gilbert Arenas could if the coaches for the Wizards one day decided that they wanted him to shoot everything for that one game.

Kobe is not a leader...

Talented yes...team player/leader no..

Got the skills of Jordan...but never will be Jordan...

Kobe is nothing without Shaq...Shaq won those championships for the Lakers...not Kobe....Shaq proved that by winning one with the Heat...

Kobe is good....but I wouldnt want him on my team...

hes like T.O.....awsome talent...but in the end....just a waste

Gilbert Arenas shoots a lot, he might be able to.

If not, I think Kobe could / would do it again.

I don't think any other current players are that type of player...where all they do is shoot and pass as a 4th option.

I BELIEVE SOMEONE WILL PASS THIS SCORE AVENTUALLY NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE. THE SAME QUESTION WAS ASKED WHEN JORDAN MADE 68 THAT GOT PASSED. THEN DAVID ROBISON GOT 71 THAT WAS PASSED NOW KOBE 81 I BELIEVE IT WILL BE PASSED BUT HE COULD BE THE ONE TO PASS IT.

well I think that no one will surpass the 81 points for at least 20 years if that does happen.
