No you don't there is a lot of confusion about the new regulations - currently the changes that have been made only affect Air travel - if you are traveling into Mexico via ground or sea travel you do not need a passport - that phase is not set to be enacted until January of 2008. For more clarification I would suggest that you visit the DHS website http://www.dhs.gov/

Have a great trip and hope this helps!

i latterly went to mexico approximately 2 weeks in the past with my dad and getting into i did not choose something yet to pay the toll. yet getting out they required a passport as quickly as I in basic terms had my start certificates and drivers license. They enable us to by simply by fact the guy stated they choose some thing with information of place of abode and a image and birthday yet for next time to have a passport. I havent been to Mexico in 2 years so it grew to become into sort of recent to me to choose a passport as quickly as I used to in basic terms choose a start certificates. and that i stay in Texas, i don't be attentive to of that makes a distinction or something.
