Carter is a very cute name but definitely very popular. I have had a Carter every year in my pre k class for the last 3 years. I have also had a lot of Carson's. One of my friend's just had a baby girl last week and named her Carter actually!

How about:
- Eesa
- Chandler
- Jarrod
- Declan
- Holt
- Jonah
- Colter
- Corbin
- Ross
- Levi
- Bennett
- Duncan
- Koby
- Rhett
- Troy
- Morris
- Griffin
- Grant
- Brock
- Tate
- Elliot

Hope these help! SD

I would just stick with Carter personally, you both like it. The thing with unique names is that you don't want to get carried away with them. You want something different, but practical. Something that most people will be able to pronounce and read. You have to keep in mind when naming that it's the child's name, and that when they are 25, your personal name preferences aren't going to matter. Try and keep that in mind, it's their name, not yours.

I hope that didn't sound mean :]

Pick something historical that noone else is using at the moment. Don't go for trendy names because everyone else is using them and they are in no way unique.

We called our baby boy Arthur after the film "King Arthur" and its really unique! Everyone who hears his name says its really cute and loves it!

(Problem is they've just released that film called "Arthur and the Invisibles" so I bet there will be a whole batch of baby boys born called Arthur this year after the sweet little boy character in that film - played by the same little actor who played Charlie in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Ho hum!!!)

I think carter is a wonderful name...you both agree on it and it isn't as popular as many names...I chose Garrett Bryce for one son and Kyle Anthony for my other son just because they weren't too common but neither boy would be made fun of later in life...if you do choose an uncommon name think first if there are any ways that other children can make fun of them later...kids can be cruel.

My older daughter (she's 10) is into this "high school musical" thing on Disney I believe. Some of the singers have unusual names. One is Corbin, I kind of like it, but I have normal names, I was going to tell my friend who's pregnant and has 3 unusual names already hers are: SAvannah, Landon, and Brent. Those are cool! She likes Lane or Blane (Blaine) for a boy!
