Yes, I do. I believe that everyone to a certain extent has racist tendencies. I, for example, have when walking home alone at night seen a group of african american males and crossed the street to avoid them. I did so because I perceived them as a possible threat. Racist stereotypes are what drove me to perceive them in that light. I believe that that night I acted with racism. I also believe that these types of racist acts occur often. While they appear harmless compared to other acts of racism I believe they are still harmfull in a less in your face way. I also have african american friends. I don't perceive them as a threat because I know them and I know they aren't dangerous. In addition I have been walking home on many occasions and walked passed groups of caucasian males without crossing the street.

Of course we all are, its in our genes to not trust outsiders (think of prehistoric times when villages would fall prey to marauders, and so people started putting up a gaurd against anyone different). Any culture/country in the world has some form of racism and prejudice. But I do believe that it can be greatly reduced through interaction, understanding and education. But it also can never truly be defeated.

Well racist is a very strong word , and no i dont think everyone is racist but everyone prejudges people from the moment they see them even me, you, and everone else. But somone racist is probably a persone who wants to eliminate a race, or feel extremely superior to them and i believe theres not that many hardcore racist people today.

It's a matter of semantics. Being a racist means you think other races are inferior to you.
Do people make assumptions or believe stereotypes about other races? To varying degrees, I would say yes.

Absolutely, we all have certain perceptions of individuals who happen to be of a different than ourselves.
I always assume the worst case scenario in situations such as being around white teenagers in public places
Or being around a mob of black men
I honestly believe that horrible experiences in the past (sexual abuse, hate crime, extreme racism)
have left me anticipating the possibility of something bad happening all over again.

I think I'm not but sometimes I find myself laughing at a racial joke or being a little more nervous around a gang of black kids rather than a gang of white kids. When in fact they are just hanging out. I guess its because I have been raised around so much racism in a small white town.

Of course we are, the difference is the ones that don't mean to be and explain as well as listen compared to the ones that only accuse and feel like they are owed from everyone.

Yes. But, not like racist against color or origin, more like racist against the character of that race or origin.
