Because both are crimes with penalties. Both deserve to be punished. The sad part is that child rapists dont ever serve enough time.

Clearly you have not ever researched anything about these subjects. I suggest you look over all the case files of all child "RAPISTS", not just the molesters. Then look over all the case files of "Dead Beat Parents". You will find that your question has no merit. Not all Dead Beat Parents go to jail, and not all molesters/rapist get out of jail. Our system may not be perfect, but it is an evolving process in which the crimes are always updating the punishments. A while ago it was OK to beat your wife, but stealing a horse could get you hung. Child raping was a normal everyday occurrence, but now with it being reported, it is being punished more. Evolution does not happen overnight, and the courts will catch up with the growing demand to keep our children safer and taken care of. Complaining about individual cases will continue the evolution in the correct path. So discuss exact cases and do not generalize, and the evolution will come about faster.

I would truly like to know the same thing. I think that anyone that hurts a child either way should go to jail but I think that rape or molesting a child is WAY more damaging than not paying child support. Half of the woman/man that get child support don't even tell there children anything about their father/mother that is paying the support. Makes me feel that the government only cares about money, NOT THE SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN.

They let the rapists out because they are suffering some sort of sickness that a prison can't help them with; therefore, society gets to foot the bill by paying for free mental services.
They lock the support violators up because they figure if you are competent enough to do the deed to have the kid, you have little excuse as to why you can't comply with their orders...

Because habitual nonpayment of child support is against the law. You don't go to jail for it unless you repeatedly violate the court's orders. Child rapists only get out when they have completed the terms of their sentence and spend the rest of their lives being monitored as a sexual offender. Even after being sent to jail for violating a support order you will get out if you complete the terms of the sentence just like all people who are convicted of crimes.

Unfortunately, our justice system is set up on a three strike law to sentence life sentences. If your past due on your child support, the court most likely will garnish your wages. But once these criminals are being considered angels, and being released years before the end of the sentence, on account of good behavior, is why we have sickos on our streets.

Because the child support industry doesn't give a rats a s s about the kids they claim they try to collect past support for. Also because single moms have been pulling the wool over the eyes of family court judges for decades.

Why don't you just go get a job and pay your child support instead of sitting on here bitching about it?
