I am a life time laker fan and i can say that they are not the best team in the nba. However, this group that they have can develop within the next year or 2 to being the best team in the League. They have Kobe, who can score at will and is a good defender. They have Lamar, the facilitator, they have the shooters in cook, sasha, and Radmonovic. They have inside power with Kwame and Bynum, not to mention when Chris Mihm comes back. They have good D with Kobe,Smush and Sasha. Plus the have one of the best coaches in history and they are one of the youngest teams in the NBA.
The Lakers are in the top 5 best teams now but in 2 years they will be playing for a 'chip. Trust

They have the best player in the NBA ...... are 2nd in the pacific, the team as a whole has improved dramaticly ...
they got cheated out of two WINS
they should have won against the SPURS because that should have been a foul on manu and kobe would have went to the line and won it !
And becuase the League has something agianst the player bring them in the most money , he was not able to play against the Knicks and that should have been a win also
they will be back they will go to the western confrence finals,

They arent the best team in the NBA. They are very good but they arent the best. The Suns, Mavericks and Spurs are all better then the Lakers.

actually they're not. while i am a lakers fan, it's true they are ONE OF THE BEST but i wouldn't necessarily say they are THE best. i happen to think the mavs have what it takes to win the title this year. but... when you compare the lakers to the rest of the league, they are definitely in the top five which is impressive considering they are part of a very competitive western conference.

Because they have lost to many games. That is why the other teams are ahead of them. After all they lost the other night and they have lost to the Utah Jazz once this season and they have also lost to other teams.

in terms of all time championships the celtics are ahead of the lakers....currently there are many more teams with better records than the lakers so what is the basis of your claim?

They aren't this year but they have one good player and they used to have a good coach. He is the same coach that coach Micheal Jordan but he left
