I am looking for colleges that teach construction on houses preferably in texas or new mexico

You might need a vocational or trade school, instead of a college, that could issue whatever kind of certificate needed to show you've completed specific course work (ie plumbing, electrician, plumber.) My brother went thru a program in NY called BOCES to study carpentry, and it was run by the county (stood for board of cooperative educational services, or something like that). Call the chamber of commerce and see if they know of any programs.
