Why are People in PuertoRico Parts of South America United States ,so mixed?

What caused them to be so multiethnic ,those darn good old Pirates what happened ?

Conquering, immigration, more conquering, more immigration, throw in a slave trade for goos measure. That's the basic gist of it.

In the colonization of America many people from the colonial powers moved to the New World. So that's why many countries in America have a white and a native american population (and the mixed ones). In the places where the native american population was too small, or was massacred, black slaves were brought from Africa to substitute them. That's why all countries in America are multiracial. The only exception used to be Canada, but now it's changing too thanks to immigration.

During the 1700s and 1800s when the slave trade was going strong in the United States, it was going stronger in the Carribean and South America. The Portuguese were the biggest slave traders, and profitted very nicely from it.
