using not a whole ton of detergent?

Well, the amount of suds isn't an indicator of cleansing ability. Suds comes from something they added years ago to make it "look like" it was cleaning the clothes.

The low suds detergents are better because they don't leave so much residue. More suds does not equate better cleaning power. Have a nice day.

like above poster said the cleaning power isn't in the suds, it it in the ability to rinse clean and disolve oily dirt.

I use Purex but it isn't the best but it does what I want and it is cheap.
