My teacher once had a student named Phuc Yu. Then I was told that it is a very popular name in vietnam. i was wondering if anyone knew what that name means. Please do not say it means F*** You.
The kid was born in Vietnam to an American father and a vietnamese mother. We've cracked a million jokes on how the kid got this name.

No Jokes... My old landlord was named Phuc Vu, I know when we called his house they referred to him as Paul.... I think that is the meaning of the name. Maybe you should ask him what the vietnamese version means in american!

Phuc means blessing, Yu means shiny or smart in Chinese, don't know about Vietnamese.
