i don't think it will happen. MEXICO may be good at under-20 level but they are still not good enough to compete against the best in the world.

Yes, they can be capable. They did a good job in the last world cup and all the new talent that is emerging only makes the team better. Last coach (Lavolpe) did a good job introducing younger players with a mix of experienced players. Lets just hope that Hugo Sanchez actually walks the walk and not just talk the talk.
All prejudice aside, I believe Mexico is developing into a better team in the CONCACAF, not to say that the USA is a bad team just because they had a poor performance in the world cup but Mexico has better players right now.

particular Mexico is interior the 2nd tier of communities, yet so develop into France until now they gained the 'ninety 8 worldwide cup. France does no longer have gained the worldwide cup in the event that they hadn't hosted it. i do no longer think of they're going to win in 2010. yet think of Mexico will become the 1st u . s . a . to host the worldwide cup for a 0.33 time in 2014. Then with each and all the large gamers that they have got they might particularly have a huge gamble. All i be attentive to is that i would be cheering on my team in each sport that they play. Mexico!! Mexico!!

I think Mexico is fully capable of winning. In a recent inteview of the Barca players, the majority said that they trusted Marquez to do his job right and if it wasn't for him, they wouldn't be such a great team. Giovanni is still very young and is a part of one of the world's best soccer teams playing next to Rafa. This tells you that he's obviously more than a great player. Fonseca has proved that he can do it, and and Oswaldo Sanchez showed that he is a great player by helping Mesico win even after his father passed away days before the world cup. These players make the mexican team more than capable of winning.

There is a lot of young talent that could surprise several teams in the 2010 World Cup. However, to go as far as to say Mexico could win a World Cup, I think Mexico is more than 3 years away from that.

they will be able to compete in the world cup but, That is a good line up for now, but in 2-4 years pardo wont be even able to compete for a spot on the team, Oswaldo will be taken off by memo ochoa because he is a lot youger, mendez wont be called by hugo Sanchez. franco and borgetti have both played their last world cup, o and blanco is like retiring next year..
VIVA MEXICO!!!

Mexico is fully capable of winning the world cup 2010. Teams like Brazil and Argentina are starting to slack on their young players. But teams like Mexico and Spain are coming up with amazing young players that by the 2010 World Cup will be on the senior squad and kicking assss no doubt.

its just like recruiting for college football, the U-17 team shows us that we have a solid recruiting class, probably the best. we finally got players in europe..marquez,salcido and osorio...and they're freaking studs! dos santos guardado and nery will be great by then, we just have to see how vela pans out, along the other young guys. on top of that we still have the vets. i think hugos a good evaluater of talent. i hope he brings in some of his old guys from pumas who seem to dissapear off the face of the planent,i.e. beltran, sancho, gonzo gonzales. we'll have a solid team, prob, make history as the fartherst we've advanced
