I’m more of a natural type of man, in that I like to see women in as little make-up as possible because you never get a chance to see the real them with all that stuff on. Almost every man has been in a situation were he meets a woman from the day or night before and when he encounters her again she looks like a totally different person. To me natural is the way to go. Wearing make-up in moderation is fine sometimes but when that stuff is caked on your face like a mask that’s just too much by anyone’s standards.

Honestly, there are a number of reasons women wear makeup. Some being:scars that look better covered up, face makeup to match the tanned skin tone of the rest of their body, (alot of women cover their faces while tanning) to bring out features that are there but not real prominent. Makeup is a choice. The choice is made for many different reasons. Be advised before being judgmental. Ta Ta!

I agree with you. Im a girl and I think it just looks stupid when girls cake their face with inches of foundation and makeup.

Don't get me wrong I love make up as much as the next girl but I think that it should be in moderation, its about improving your looks, not covering tham up.

In answer to your question I feel strange without makeup and much more confident with it on, but I don't need, although it does make me look better.

I do my best not to treat good-looking people better than others. Everyone has a different idea of what good-looking is. I cannot discriminate against someone because they do not meet society's idea of beautiful. I think that everyone has the potential to be a beautiful person regardless of what they look like.

What's funny about make-up is, it was originated in the 1800s by prostitutes in Mesopotamia, as a way of advertising themselves. Our culture today adopts it as a thing of beauty. But anyways, natural beauty is always the best, if a girl decides to wear make-up, it should not be excessive, or even that noticeable.

I like Element 5, a small, natural, mineral make-up line. Beautiful colors, for people of all shades. More make-up for the camera...but I like natural, mineral make-up for my usual routine.

I feel beautiful w/o make-up, but...Yes, I feel better when I wear make up..even more beautiful. Everything should be in moderation...Who wants to go out looking like they did when they woke up? Unless it's to go work out...A canvas would not be art without paint, it would be a rag.

I feel better with it off, ( no worries about it smudging ). A woman should let her man see her without it on. Lets her know what hes made of. Otherwise, what WE decide to wear on OUR faces, ( lots or none ) is no-ones business but our own! He needs to accept her for what she is,makeup and all, without making issue over her face.

I think you're right. We girls tend to get a little carried away with the black eyeliner and eyeshadow and we lose the true beauty of the natural color of our eyes. Lately, I've been trying to avoid too much eye shadow because I feel like natural is more me.

i dont wear make up for the most part. but i dont see anything wrong with it if girls wear it once in a while as long as they dont end up looking like clowns. as to me, when i do wear make-up i just do it so that it makes me look older (cus im 18 and look like im 15. younger sometimes) and to accentuate my features and i make sure to wear it so that it looks as natural as possible so that when i take it off i dont look like a completely different person.

Make up is meant to enhance what's already there, rather than disguise it. A little like picking well-fitting clothes... Most women look better with a little makeup - it defines the eyes and evens out skin tones. Men often look better too - why should we keep it to ourselves just cos society says it's "girly" or "gay" for men to wear it?! Just keep it subtle...

Not sure what the question was, I think it was more of an opinion, but a very good one. Thank you for giving us a man's perspective on the make-up issue.
