Its the presence of spirits. I know exactly what you're talking about. I have experienced it often throuhgout my life --I'm 53--and the folks that don't get it are either denying or ignoring the feeling when it comes. I lived in an old farmhouse for a few years and it was mostly a light and wonderful atmosphere...but every now and then the --whatever it was--came around and would usually be there regularly for a few days or weeks the they'd fade on out for a while. There was this old shed on the place and the vibes around the shed were so scary and disturbing, almost evil, that I would never go in there or leave the door open. It happened EVERY time I went to the shed. Something really bad must have happened in that shed. It wasnt just a creepy feeling it was scary in the pit of my stomach. I know, I know, its wierd but its also true. --and it wasn't just me that felt it. Not every single person coulld sense it but most could.

I don't believe in ghosts, but I do believe in energy. My house is 91 years old and I swear that it is an intrinsically positive place. I've felt that since the day I set foot in it, and I knew I had to buy it. I like to think that it's because the house has been sheltering happy people for the past 9 decades. I think the presence of a place depends on what people have put into it in the past, and that it can be altered depending on what mindset you are willing to take and if you are willing to work to make it a positive place.
It's not that I don't get scared in my house ever, but it's usually triggered by a specific thing, like an unknown noise or the feeling that someone who shouldn't be is in the neighborhood. My house itself radiates peace, crazy as it sounds.
The bottom line is, the possibility of a positive or negative (or neutral) presence exists, but don't get too worked up about it. Even if it does exist, it's being made stronger in your own mind because you're looking for it.
Hope all your experiences are positive.

The first house I ever lived in was haunted. I lived there till I was 7. When I was that young, I saw the ghosts, there were 3. My mom told me I was only dreaming when I was young, but when we moved out and I was much older, she told me that it really was haunted.
Since then, everywhere I seem to reside seems to be haunted to me. I do feel wierd presences sometimes where it feels like I'm being watched. I don't know if it's because everywhere I move is haunted, or if the first ghost was attatched to me and followed me around. The older I get, the less I notice it though.

I grew up in a very haunted house in Los Angeles. Everyone who ever stayed there either saw something, heard something or felt something. I could feel someone watching me, no matter what room I was in. I would look around to see who it was but no one was there. I could feel someone walking up the staircase just behind me, stepping as I would step. For years, I heard someone walking up the staircase late at night, turn the corner toward my room and then it would stop at my door. I always watched to see who it was but no one was ever there.
My mom always told me it was my imagination when I would tell her things but I knew "something" was going on. I was 21 years old when I finally saw "her" twice in one night, about 10 minutes apart. It was a girl with long brown hair, in a long white dress, just sitting there staring at me. The first time I thought it was my imagination but when I saw her again 10 minutes later in another room, I know what I saw. It really scared me. I didn't tell anyone about that for years.
My mom sold the house in 1988 and we moved out of L.A. A few years later I overheard her telling her friend about hearing doors open and shut and hearing people talking when no one was around. Then she said, "How do you tell your kids you are scared shitless?" I ran out of my room and yelled, "I knew it! I knew it! You always said it was my imagination!"
People who have not experienced these things do not understand, therefore, they do not believe. It is only a matter of time before science will be able to prove that ghosts exist.

Yes you did, and see you can even tell if it's good or not. You're lucky to experience this. (I do too.) Take some pictures sometimes of where you feel the spirit is. Then check your pictures when the film gets processed. Don't be surprised!
P.S. A good, informative and friendly site to go to about ghosts is: www.ghostweb.com I'm sure you'll like it!

No, it's not a ghost. Put down the bong, stop drinking so much, and grow a sack. On a lighter note, you'd probably make a good actor, cause your imagination seems to be off the charts.
