My friend and I were talking about it over lunch and I figured someone could think of another cartoon besides Eeyore, because he's honestly my favorite and there has to be someone/something sadder.

Droopy
Eeyore
sometime I even think Boo-boo bear sounds depressing. He never laughs or smiles.

I'm an Eeyore fan too but yes there is someone worse than him. It's Shleprock. He was on the cartoon series where Pebbles and Bam Bam are teens in high school. He was the guy that when ever the gang were trying to do something if he entered the room , things would fall or go horribly wrong. He was bad luck or something. He only said "Wowzy wowzy woo woo" for some strange reason and you never really got to see his face because his head was always hanging down.

By the way, Eeyore isn't really sad he just really wants them to leave him alone. Have you ever seen the cartoon series for Winnie the Pooh? Eeyore sits on top of the hill alone for a reason. The others think there is something wrong with him and want to cheer him up. He tells them not to bother, that he is perfectly fine sitting up there alone but they don't believe him. They try and teach him to swing, to bounce like Tigger and other things. All of course go really bad. Piglet finally asks Eeyore why he's sitting on the hill and he tells him "I'm waiting for something fantastic to happen" he then tells Piglet to watch. The sun rays break through the clouds and shine down causing not only a rainbow but a display that looks like fireworks in the daytime. The others come up and watch and realize Eeyore wasn't sad at all just being patient.

Wile E. Coyote from looney tunes

he's always falling off the cliff
getting blown up
having plans fail him
and never gets the tasty dinner- aka the roadrunner

I would say the coyote in the road runner cartoons because he could never catch the road runner. That must be depressing, not achieving you goals and all.

Whichever is the cat in Itchy and Scratchy. He's always so mournful and gets such a bad deal.
