satan/lucifer was once an angel but got to vain of his own powers and tried to overthrow God and started a rebellion. But then again lucifer is against God he can't win. so he was thrown out from heaven.

Satan was once an angle. He grew jealous and lead a rebellion against god and lost. God then punished him for going against him and casted him down into the black abyss that god had made for him.
