No, but he's celebrated each and every year here in Chittenango, New York, where L. Frank Baum was born. We have an "Oz Day" complete with a parade and even have several of the actors from the original movie come help us celebrate. We've been especially blessed to see Meinhardt Raabe, who played the Munchkin Coroner, every year. So we don't really miss the wiz. If he were here, we'd send him to Washington to give George W. Bush a brain!
