I'm in year 11 and I'm hoping to apply for dentistry
Don't worry, it doesn'tr really matter what GCSE's you take - it matters more on the A-levels.
However, because dentistry is so competitive - they sometimes look to the gcse's but just try to choose subjects that you enjoy rather than what subjects you think will help you get into dentistry - even if you hate it.
My gcse's are: maths, further maths, english literature, english language, triple science, history, geography, french, welsh, half course R.E, food and nutrition
Don't choose a subject just because you think it will help you to get into dentistry but try to think wisely about your options (it's not very helpful if you take art, textiles, music and food for example - if you enjoy one or two of them, then pick one or two of them but try not to choose all of them)

You need to take a science-based course... if you have the option of studying separate GCSE's for Biology, Chemistry and Physics then you should take all three. You need a good background in these subjects because they will be the core of your later studies at A Level and University. If you can't hack the science at GCSE then you will really struggle at A level and beyond.
You will need very good grades and will need to take science A Levels as well in order to get into a good university.
The competition is just as tough as getting into Medical School to become a doctor so you must be prepared for long hours of study and hard work!
Good luck!

Alot of them and you need to go to University for 6 years. Try all or any medical GCSE's cos there's more chance of a job at the end of it!
