No way. I am disabled. My life isn't what I expected from yesterday. Everyday is a challenge. If I go from one room to another I have to think about every single step I take or I will fall, and be in the hospital. I remember the old saying,"I used to complain about not having shoes until I met a man with no feet." At least I could walk a little bit.
I never thought my life would be like this, I was a member of an All-American gymnastic team in High School and a real good athlete. If I saw what the future held for me when I was a kid, I would have.......(I wont write it because it may violate one of the Yahoo rules). If anything my MS has made me a stronger and better person.
Thanks for asking that was a great question.

No, it didn't turn out like I envisioned it. I thought I would always think young, my teenagers would think I was "cool" or "rad?" or "awesome" and that I would know what you mean by a car with a bumper!! I didn't plan on changing. I care about totally different things than when I started out. Seriously. @8-)

Well, I have to accept the way it turned out because of some bad
decisions. That is what determines your fate when you have to decide one way or the other and you can't go back and change it.
I am 55 years and seeing as how I went in the service in Oct 70 +
30 years is 2000 and I could have been retired driving a RV and
travel all over.

I thought I would get married, work until we could afford a house on one salary, have kids and stay at home with them. HA HA on the dream fairies. I did get married and saved to buy the house we could afford on one salary (mine), had the children, lost my husband to my best friend, got divorced and now raising my two kids by myself while my ex is unemployeed because he can't seem to find that $100,000.00/year paying job that all the other college drop outs get. Go figure. But you know what? I am completely happy with what I have and who I have become along being blessed with two GREAT kids. And hey. . . .why do you need a bumper? It is just cosmetics. If it gets you where you need to be then don't sweat the small stuff.

Mine turned out even better than I had thought! I had dreamed of owning my own trailer house, having 4 or 5 kids by differant dads and having to work 2 jobs just to support us all! Instead I am happily married; we have 6 kids together, we own abeautiful 3 bed 3 bath house with a huge yard, we own 3 vehicles (an 88 mini van, a 92 lincoln town car, and my car~ a 2004 mustang 40th ann. edition), and I don't have to work at all!

HA, loved your question. I envisioned myself "owning" a nice, modest home, by now. I am 31 years old, renting a house, driving a piece-of-crap 2001 cavalier that REALLY needs alot of work. Actually, it needs burned. It sounds like a lawn mower going down the road. Runs like one, too. I have a pretty decent job but I just can't seem to get caught up enough on my bills to get ahead.

Sadly, it's pretty far from that. I thought I would at least be a "working" vocalist/recording artist. Not rich, not even famous, but DEFINITELY not wasting away 10 hours a day behind a damned desk :-(

It actually turned out pretty much as I figured. We've always "followed our own drummer," so to speak. We've moved 3 times, just because we wanted to; not becuase our jobs sucked or were going down the tube. We've always made the choices we wanted and had things turn out swell.

I just try to take it one day at a time. Never looking too far ahead and always staying away from the past.
If I have one foot in the future and one foot in the past, I am "pooping" on today. Live for today!
