1 that I know of is on the sea wall on the Sandon Tidal Dock on the river mersey Liverpool UK

I have found out, the one on the Sandon and Collingwood dock walls, is called The Victoria Tower (1848) grade11. It was a clock and bell tower not only giving the time to other docks around, but to arriving and departing ships in the Mersey River, it also rang out high tide and warning notes in fog. Local folklore is that, it was built by French prisoners from the Napoleonic Wars, but as the wars had ended 29 years before the tower was designed, this seems unlikely. I still have not as yet found where the other one is situated. anyone any idea?

Please don't think I'm just Grabbing Points!!!!

I Can't really answer this question, although your original info does Ring a Bell......

PLEASE email me if you get any further leads, as this is something a friend of my Parents has made comment about!

Has something to do with 'Master Clockmakers' and the Engineers that worked for them?

If I remember correct, the problem with such clocks was that the hour was divided into 6 (ie 10 mins) and this resulted in different 'faces' changing at slightly different times!.... I might be wrong!

Hope you progress with this one, and please post/contact as this is interesting to some of us!

Sounds very interesting, but don't know where your second hex clock is. Try entering various ways it in a search engine.
