While I was playing an episode of "One Tree Hill" on The CW's website, it stopped playing after 3 seconds, and the timer kept cycling through the first 3 seconds. I could drag the slider to another point in the episode, but the same thing would happen there. Now my computer won't play anymore sounds anywhere.

I already checked the Master Volume and none of the devices were muted.

Before u assume the worst, i had a problem similar. Try deactivating your sound card, and roll back the driver. If that does not work try updating your driver.

Click on the volume controll at the bottom if the box marked mute is checked, un-check it. If that doesn't work your speakers could be broke, or you need a new sound card on your computer. GL

Hmmmmm your sound card has probably moved inside your cpu....do one thing, open your casing and check if your sound card is properly fitted in the AGP slot...if not, take it out, blow on it, and fit it back properly...if this doesn't work, then you have to check your cables....wat speakers do you have? usually the speakers have a green jack which you plug in your motherboard for sound output....try it...and let me know!
