As you know, he was in Florida in a classroom when Andy Coric whispers to him. It was at 9:05, 20 minutes after the first plane crashes into the first tower. But, he goes on with the speech to the kids like NOTHING happened. In December of hat year, he is asked in (I believe) asked how he felt about 9/11. He says he found out about it from a TV report which he saw OUTSIDE the classroom. But, the tapes of 9/11 were not shown till my birthday, the next day on September 12.
Could it be that Bush knew more about it than he says he does?

After his statement about seeing the tower being hit, that he was whisked away into the classroom, apparently losing all train of thought. Either way, remember that CNN did not show the crashes until September 12, the next day.

I'm not going to get into what Bush knew and when, but as for those who keep saying that news reports showed the planes hitting the buildings on September 11, you're only partly right.
It is certainly true that the shots of the planes hitting the WTC were shown over and over, but the shot of the first plane hitting was not shown for the first time until after the second plane had hit. The shot of the first plane was caught accidently by a French film crew that was filming a documentary about New York firefighters (see the link below; the site is a conspiracy site, but what they say about the first broadcast is true).
The controversy that is involved with this question is that Bush, on more than one occasion after 911, claimed that he saw the first plane hit the WTC on TV before he went into the classroom to listen to the kids read, and then of course was informed by his Chief of Staff about the second strike while in the classroom. It is not possible that Bush could have seen the first plane hit, for the reason noted above . . .
. . . unless he was in on the plot and therefore saw a feed of the first plane hitting, filmed, of course, by some covert agency who knew it was coming. Bush saying that he had seen the first plane hit when he did, and neither correcting himself later nor being corrected by his staff, for whatever reason, is what leads some to believe that he was in the know about the attacks.

Not so---I don't know where you live, but in the US the crashes were shown on 9/11. My family and I watched the second plane crash into the tower in "real time" while watching the smoke pouring out of the first tower. (CNN) As it happened--- not one day later.
About Pres. Bush, I think we are seeing that in most things he knows far LESS about everything than he says he does.
As far as his statement goes, he seems to have problems speaking and thinking at the same time. In all probability, upon leaving the classroom he was immediately shown a tape of the event. That is probably what he referred to. And to be fair to the man, (yeah, I know its hard!) I think it showed sensitivity to the little kids to not show concern and rush out of there like something was terribly wrong. Whether it was the correct thing to do for the country or not may be up for discussion--- but it surely was better for the kids.
Not to defend the man and all the weird stuff that most of those people in power are up to-- I've every bit as convinced there are plenty of 'conspiracies' etc. as you seem to be-- and am sadly aware that money and power are much higher priorities than human life and well-being.

You must have been asleep on 9/11 if you didn't see the footage until the 12th. From the time the first plane hit the first tower, there was new footage being shot. At any given time during that day, you could have seen the replay of the towers being hit and then falling to the ground. The government was very well aware of the threat and "sat" on it because they didn't believe it was "serious". This is public documentation stated by Condaleeza Rice. Never for one minute believe that your government is concerned about you. They are out to get what they want and will risk any life to reach their goal. Thank you.

There are certain NATIONAL SECURITY issues that will never be released, but I don't buy into any conspiracy. As for going on with his classroom time with the children, that was to keep order and prevent panic.
I watched the second plane hit 2 World Trade from a television set at my mechanic's shop. Both of our jaws dropped. From there started the constant news reporting cycle which is, most likely, what President Bush was talking about.

They should be given lie tests and truth serum . The security of our nation was compromised so much in the Clinton White House that you have to wonder what does it take before liberals are held accountable ?

The second plane hit live. Everyone saw it except apparently for conspiracy theorists. It was not held over to the next day. Any news show not showing it that day had missed the boat. I would love to know where you got this information from. And what were you doing at the time.

They showed the tapes of the planes crashing ALL day on 9-11. Is that what you're talking about? All day on every channel they showed them. I don't understand what you're talking about.
But I do think he knew anyway because the people that listen to the "chatter' heard references to the crashes and he was notified and in fact some people in the goverment said "We can't act on every threat".
