To answer the question directly, no. Kobe is the best ball player in this generation. That doesn't make him the best of all time, but close. Name one two guard that you would pick (besides MJ) to start ahead of him. Defensively, Offensively, Ball-handling, shooting and dunking who was better (besides MJ)?

W-L= Shaq. He makes every team he goes to a winner.
Game= Duncan. You don't have to be flashy and arrogant to have game
Highlights=Kobe. Close second for Vince Carter (you did say since 2000)
Achievements= Kobe (with Shaq)
Style= again, Duncan
Team= Lakers, Spurs (My favorite team is the Suns)
Teammates= Nash, Stoudemire.
Stats= Kobe- 81 points is 81 points. I don't care how weak the rest of your teammates are.
Attitude=Duncan, he just plays basketball. He never gets arrested, he never gets cocky, and he keeps getting better.

No. Kobe is the best there is in the NBA. He has turned the lakers around when Shaq left, he is sharing the ball more with his teammates. He is shooting better from the field and he has more assist. He got the lakers in the playoofs last year and they had a 3 games to 1 lead but than they couldn't finish. But in other words no noone is better than Kobe Bryant.

Steve Nash will repeat for his third straight MVP title this year. His style is not as lavish as Kobe's, but his overall stats speak volumes. Phoenix will win it all this year behind the NBA's BEST player :

no kobe is a talented guard their is no guard in the Nba that can match up to him i have not seen a game this year where kobe has not done some kind of crazy dunk or something

I will go with Shaq. To win the title you have to go through him.
Good Luck he has cut down 4 of the last 7 nets.
He has had injury problems throughout his career but other than that he dwarfs the competition.
