Chevy Trailblazer...the key will turn off the engine, but it won't make that last click to the position where it'll come out.

OK, it came out....tried turning the steering wheel a bit, turned on the engine, and messed with the emergency brake....anyway, it finally came out, thnx.

try turning the stearing wheel a little bit.. You may be hung up on the stearing lock mechnism..

Some of the GM autos have a small button near the key switch. Usually some where on the steering column. If this is not the case, make sure that the transmission is going all the way in the Park position. It may say Park, but may not be locking in to engage the safety.

Mine did this and I had to turn the steering wheel a little for it to finally go in position for the key to come out.
