She was on her way back to the U.S from the Bahamas to be with Damon Dash(Jay Z old business partner) after shooting her video "Rock the Boat". Here is a website that show you what happen on that very sad and tragic day. She is truly missed. RIP Aaliyah.

Aaliyah was on her way back from the Bahamas shooting a video when her plane crashed. Everything else can probably be found on the internet.

She was in the Bahamas shooting her video for Rock The Boat and then she was on her way back to the states when her plane went in flames and crashed somewhere in the Bahamas.
