US government has spent 17.4 billion dollars to date on Katrina recovery efforts.... and has over 5,000 people on the payroll full time doing nothing but.......and please remember, the worst effects of Katrina were in Mississippi and Alabama......to say the Federal Government has done nothing is just plain wrong.
