Psychologists say that an emotionally healthy person needs only 1-2 really close friends. I was surprised. The rest are acquaintances of varying degrees. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? Libraries, near their entrance door, often have racks of pamphlets and papers trying to attract people to all sorts of groups: book clubs, archaelogy buffs, ecology groups, kayaking groups...the list is endless if you grab a pile to peruse
Church shopping is standard practice these days, people looking for a good fit with a congregation and its members, message, music, programs and community outreach. Community theater groups are always happy to see a new face walk in the door, as are museums looking for docents. If you're athletic, children's teams always need volunteers to fill in for parents who don't show up.(background check usually needed)
Hope you find something and some people to have fun with.

well, if youre still in school [any grade or college] just go up to a group of nice looking kids and ask them if you can join with them in whatever theyre doing. it may seem scary, but it's better then being alone. if when youre sitting with them, they arent how you expected them to be, just do the same thing the next day. go to a different group. that way, you can figure out who you like and get to know different people better. good luck! :]

Small gifts are a nice "looking for friendship" cue. Start conversations and try to find similar interests, while letting them do most of the talking. Listen with sincere interest. Smile and be friendly--good for making friends.

hey you dont sound like that bad of a person. best thing to do is be yourself and find a common ground between you and other people. humor is a great ice breaker. the easiest place to make friends is someplace you are often, say school or the job, from that it always branches off. again just be yourself, people appreciate that.
Best Wishes

ultimate thank you to make pals is to do what you already have fun with and allow different people who share those hobbies to gravitate in direction of you. If there are any institutions, golf equipment, agencies, in spite of, which you have an interest in, probability is your involvement there'll deliver you into touch with countless the 1st genuine pals you will make in extreme college.

Just be kind and be yourself. They say, "You have to be a friend to have friends." And I think that's very true. Just be friendly and receptive to others and act like the kind of person that you would want to have around. That's all there is to it. Good luck.

What's your favourite past-time?
Find other people who like the same thing by joining an evening class, or local group.
When you're enthusiastic, feeling happy, people are attracted to you...
