tell her you dont want to hurt her feelings but that it would be best if you too stopped hanging out with each other and moved on.....that you resent what went down and want to try to avoid it by not associating with her, that way no one gets hurt..... i hope this helps...

Well you can't be "kinda friends" with someone either she's a friend or associate, I'm guessing she's an associate. If you don't want anything to do with her, tell her. If it's just saying "hi" or "bye" and talking to you occasionally than I would suggest you just deal with it because it's not worth hurting her feelings. But if it's she's calling you all the time and wanting to hang out, just tell her you have enough friends, and she's not the kind of friend you want in her life. Or find her a new friend and make sure that the friend and she have a lot in common. That way she'll hang all over her and forget all about you. Good luck hon!

I have had somthing like this happen to me. You really dont have to say anything. On the other hand if you are afraid of backlash from her tell her that truth that you an her are cool. But some of the things that she was involved in you dont wont to have anything to do with it. Tell her that it is nothing personal but you really wont to be her down , but you can't afford to be down with someone that keep getting in to trouble or makeing trouble.

just say, "I'd prefer not being friends." there's nothing wrong with that, it's okay to do so and it's more honest than making bs excuses and avoiding her. If she still doesn't let up continue repeating those words, she'll get the message after a week or two.
