I just bought two snails from the pet shop. The pet shop guy said that it was ok to put them in a tank with a betta fish, so thats where I got them at right now. They seem to be doing ok, I was just wanting to know a little more about them. Are there any dangers that I should know about. Please tell me if there are any important things that I should know about keeping two snails with a betta fish. Thanks

You won't have any problems keeping your snails with the betta fish. I had a snail with my betta fish, and they did just fine. The snails will help to eat the algae and keep the tank clean, which is nice. Your betta fish will appreciate the cleaner environment. But of course, snails are no substitute for cleaning the tank yourself every 2 weeks-month (depending on how big and how dirty the tank is). Good luck! Bettas are great. Mine lived over 4 years.

snails are one of the few things that bettas never have a problem with. he will be curious about them if the sees them moving around and might investigate but they pose no threat to a betta at all so he is fine with snails.

Snails are not usually area of a bettas eating routine so your plan would not extremely artwork out. in case you had to reproduce your snails you ought to opt to save them in a filtered tank with solid water situations. Snails breed actual and a lot. i'd not propose doing it. on account that they overrun tanks a lot.

they are great companions for bettas as long as the tank is at least 5 gallons and has a filter and heater. both mystery snails and bettas need warm water and snails are EXTREMELY dirty, so a filter is a must.

if you have a filter and heater and a 5 gallon tank than they should be fine. good luck!

Just watch the snails. They breed like rabbits. If the get to out of control throw a clown loach in there to eat the majority of them. But otherwise you should be fine.

Snails live off of algae, so make sure the tank isn't spanking clean or they'll starve to death. Other than that, they should be just fine.
